Took the Turbo plunge!
Well, today I finally got started. I ordered a Garrett GT3037 turbo, Tial 38mm wastegate, Tial BOV, and the flanges for them. That's probably going to end up costing me about $750+ more than the parts I would have gotten locally, but I like trying new things and T3/T4's are a bit too common for me.
The total for just these parts was over $1800 shipped!
I'm still planning on going to my friend Shane- as mentioned in the Turbo S2000 in CO post- for all of the piping, manifolds, coatings, and stuff like that though. He could definitely have gotten a T3/T4 or any other combo I wanted for a price that would meet or beat internet pricing, but this time around I wanted to see what a GT series turbo can do... (He can also get those, but I try to make things as hard on myself as possible)
Next, I'll be ordering fuel injectors, a WBo2, and E-manage. I'm considering the PLX, Innovative, and FJO WBO2's. Not sure which I want yet, but the ability to 3D datalog is a MUST. Right now the PLX is my top choice.
Does anybody know of a turbo 2004 S2000?
Tim

Nice! Can't wait to see the setup and maybe a ride? {HINT}
you going anything to lower compression? When browsing on PFI's website they have a guy on there named Jusin that has a turbo S2000 also but it doesn't list any byno numbers.
Keep us posted on the work, now i know who to contact when i am ready to go turbo

my engine has just over 3k miles on it. I'm not going to worry about lowering compression for now. . . If SC'c can run up to 10 psi on stock compression, I don't see why I can't run 7 with a turbo and proper tuning. It will probably be a few months until it's finished though. When it is finally finished, I'm sure you'll be able to have a ride. This is NOT PFI doing the kit. After seeing how they work when we did my Monte, I'll never use them again(and we only used them for parts!).
Working with the exact same people and shops, we turbo'd my 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34 with a 3.4L DOHC V6. I've also installed and tuned an Electormotive TEC 3 on a 2002 Polaris 600cc RMK engine. For that, I was even able to dyno with a Superflow engine dyno!
I'm not too worried about tuning an E-manage to work with larger injectors and boost. I definitely wouldn't want to try the AEM without a good startup map. IMO- cold start is the hardest thing to get right. WOT tuning is cake with the proper tools and a decent base map.

Just checked some of the Garrett catalogs. This turbo is the exact GT30R that they list in the Garrett catalog- with the exception of the smaller exhaust housing I requested. Even with the .63 a/r T3 exhaust housing, I could still swap in a GT30R 0.82 a/r turbine housing and have a complete GT series turbo with no changes to the piping or anything else!
Anyway, after talking with cheapturbo yesterday, my parts should be shipping today. I should also be getting my Oz Audio 180 CS front components today. Now I've just gotta get on Lucid for my DCI and speaker adapters!

Any updates on the turbo?
I have definitely made progress. Right now my car is in getting its first oil change and having the Ultimate Racing remote oil filter adapter fitted. I figure that I might as well keep the warranty for as long as possible. The only bad thing is that the oil filter sits exactly where the AEM V2 CAI is sitting. I'll be selling it soon(the CAI). Right now they're putting my stock intake back on.Parts I have sitting next to me right now:
GT30R turbo(3037), intercooler, 650cc RC injectors, Tial BOV, Tial wastegate, and all flanges for the turbo, BOV, and wastegate.
Parts on order:
30-1052U AEM ECU and turbo manifold. There's a guy named Jason who purchased a bunch of these and I'm getting an awesome deal on them.
Unfortunately, the ecu won't be shipped until the end of the month according to Horsepowerfreaks. They said AEM won't be shipping them until then.
If you'd like to check out any of the parts, let me know. I'll be in Denver Saturday for a little while before I pick up my girlfriend(she's coming to visit me for my birthday!) and maybe again on Monday when I drop her off. I don't know if the exhaust manifold will work with the 4" inlet of my turbo, but with the Ultimate block adapter there's a ton of room for an intake pipe and the manifold is so cheap that I can't afford not to try it. I'll hopefully be picking up the manifold whenever I can get to Ft. Collins next. It and my exhaust housing are already ceramic coated!

Here are some pictures I just took of the parts I have right now. My parents just recieved all of the oil lines and fittings and coolant fittings from ATP turbo. Hopefully I'll be able to pick them up soon. The AEM 30-1052U with built in WBO2 wasn't available yet and so horsepowerfreaks ended up shipping me the 30-1012 and WBO2 for the same price since AEM wasn't telling when they would be shipping. Enjoy!
