Default Completely Unofficial Dragon Mini-meet Aug 7

Updated 8/5/04: 9 S2000's!!!!!

In the spirit of needing a "Dragon Fix", this is a post to let my Carolina peeps know that Ron and I and a couple others are planning to head to Deal's Gap the first weekend in August. (Fri, 8/6 - Sun, 8/8). Anyone is welcome to join!

Ready to slay the Dragon, we have:
Ron
smccoy
JAHumphrey
w1ngman
sheadlee
learnerspermit + learnerspermitsdad
Kaolinte
SC_Highlander
airgate

We're staying at Tapoco Lodge (only 3 miles from the Dragon!); a cool old-fashioned mountain lodge with rooms, cabins, a restaurant, bar, community game room and hoses and rags for washing cars! Link to the lodge here:
www.tapocolodge.com

I plan to leave Charlotte early Friday am (9:00 ish - post here if you'd like to meet up to caravan!), check into the lodge around lunch; do some afternoon runs on the Dragon, then have a relaxed Friday night playing pool, etc. at the lodge. Saturday, weather permitting, is driving the Dragon in the AM, and maybe a bit of fishing or hiking in the PM. Or...a run through Joyce Kilmer or the "Cherry Cola", depending on our mood and the weather.

No real plans.....just a very relaxed weekend. All are welcome, and anyone who would like to meet up either at the Dragon or to caravan with us out of Charlotte Friday am should post here.

Those who don't come from Charlotte can just meet us at Tapoco Lodge Saturday AM to RUN! Time to

Great, now I have to choose between a 2-day AutoX on the track at CMP, or a 3rd trip to the dragon this year...

Bryan, if you're interested, I've got a group that's probably going to take a day off in the middle of a week in August to do the dragon.
Definitely.

I am hereby completely unofficially officially suggesting that I might be able to make this Completely Unofficial Dragon Mini-meet Aug 7th.

If things work out...I will actually be staying at Jamie6's home. [Seems that, due to a lil' unintended "body-bending," Jamie is once again in need of my services] If he can get diffusers from Rick's in time, I'll definitely be seen on The Dragon once or twice .

- Dave

PS. While I don't put the top up often ...I'll show those interested just what an '02 glass top looks like on an '01 S2000 .

Sounds like something that should be offered at the Golden Arches drive-thru
