Default Putting a glass screen in a pre 02 car?

Well it looks as though I will need to replace my rear screen so if I can I would like to replace it with the glass one. So:

Is it just as easy as taking the old one out and putting the glass one in?
Is it a different kind of roof to the 02 one?
And how much would it be?
Would it have to come from Honda?

It is possible, some members here have done it. IIRC, you will need a new roof and either a new frame or some modifications to your existing one. Then if you want the screen heater to work you will need extra wiring loom and switch.

Not sure it is worth the hassle or expense, if your plastic screen is so badly damaged that some plastic treatments can't renew it then you can get the plastic screen replaced.

A search should bring up some other threads about this.

The apperture (i.e. hole) is much smaller for a glass screen. It therefore does not fit. There is also the wiring issue for the heated rear window to be taken into consideration

Your only option as far as I know is to replace the entire roof to gain an 02 (glass) rear window.

You will probably be able to source a plastic replacement from Honda.

StevenM has replaced his plastic roof for a glass one twice. Going this route is fairly pricey.

"Frisky" you mention Plastic Treatments for the roof? Where can I get these from? The screen only has (at the moment) a 10mm split so if there are methods out there to repair it that would definitely be the best option.
