Default Comptech Supercharger with air to air intercooler

I have read that a lot of people has done this, I just install my comptech supercharger and Im planning on installing the intercooler on Monday. Please if some of you guys out there can show me with a picture how to route the intercooler piping, I will greatly appreciate it. I'm having concerns with the crossmember.

Thanks

You sure you haven't mistaken the larger radiator that is offered by tech2motorsports as a replace for the small one that is attached to your aftercooler on your Comptech?

The optional Comtech I/C is an air/water type.

Maybe, I didn't explain myself correctly, Im not going to use the Comptech air to water. Im using an front mount air to air intercooler, wich I have to make custom pipings in order to connect everything, Ive read that some members have this setup already. What I need is some pictures to guide myself on how to route the pipes, from the throttle to the intercooler on one side and also from the charger to the other side. This set up will be similar to a turbo set up.

Thanks

So far as I know, nobody has done a CTSC with an air/air intercooler. It sounds like you're trying to break new ground, and will have to custom fab some parts. Let us know how it goes...

I could've sworn I remember reading a long while back that Duc (AHHVTEC) had fabbed up a front mount IC system for his Vortech...I'm not sure if it did any good though...you may want to IM him about it...

ok, so lets see. Increasing the length of charge pipes and killing throttle response some more for 0 gains is a great idea? Not to mention the pressure drop you'll get from a intercooler VS. the regular aftercooler. The comptech makes about 5.5psi peak of boost, with the pressure drop from a intercooler it'll go down to almost 5psi. That means less power through-out the powerband. Air/Water is more efficient, especially considering that S/C's barely heat up unlike turbo's which get upto a couple hundred degrees. Sure compressed air heats up, but nothing that the standard air/water aftercooler with the kit can't cool down effectively and efficiently.

ok let me break it down....
For a sc running little boost
- extra piping - boost loss....
The air to water is a very efficient unit......

The other members that have a SC setup with an "FMIC" do not have an actual FMIC setup... Not sure what it really does......
I would save your money and not to the FMIC witha sc or spend some extar $ for a turbo.....
