Default Fluid Changeout Day Sunday 10/31

There appears to be some interest with our members to change out their Tranny and Differential fluids before winter gets here. So I would like to get this scheduled. How does October 31th sound? My house?

Please comment in this thread if you are interested in getting this done and I will coordinate.

I need at least two interested parties before this will be worth our while... Bill? Alex? Greg?... It's up to you!

Check out this thread for additional information:2nd to 3rd Grind

My fluids are already done!!!

Thanks for the Pizza offer Bill. We will probably take you up on it. Is there a better day for you? Does not much matter to me. I don't think Alex nor Greg have their fluids yet, so we should probably bump by a few days. Sunday is Holloween so I would prefer not to do it then. What's your schedule look like the following weekend? I' open either Sat or Sun.

If we have 3 people, we can whip the cars out in no time. I would say less than 1 hour/car.

Order in the next few days and you should have it in time. Probably need to bump a week 'cause Bill has to work. Had my fluids in hand 4 days after order. Ordered mine from Go Fast Lab

Check your calendar and post your availability.

I figured I'd get fluids from Rick's, along with those JDM smoked diffusers. Should I go for all Royal Purple (for the diff since no additive is needed) or mix the AMSOL stuff in there (trans only)?

I used the Lubrication Engineers LE-607 90W Almasol Gear Oil for the Diff with no additional fluid and used the Red Line MT-90 Manual Transmission Lubricant for the tranny (with no additional fluids). What did you see or read where mixing fluids was required?

I didn't mean literally mixing them, just that one type would end up in the transmission (amasol) and one in the differential (royal purple). Or was it the other way around...

Amasol in the Diff, Royal Purple in the tranny.

Mike,

The Rick's site says that Amasol may need a friction modifier for use in a LSD. That said, the Royal Purple says that it does not require the additive.
