Some of you already know these things but in case you forgot or for the new guys:

Remember to wear sunscreen.
Bring a bottle of water.
Bring a camera and film.
Keep some spare cash for lunch or emergency needs.
Please fill up your gastank BEFORE the meet.
Bring a Motorola Walkie-Talkie (Channel 14 sub11) - We often have extra of these devices if you don't own one.
Print out the directions to the meet and or itinerary.

and most importantly, have fun!

jp

PS. Is this a brownbag, or are we sampling the local offerings? Also, I think Bluejay is going to make this one.

Jerry,

good suggestions, thanks.

I'm thinking we should meet for breakfast at the Pancake Haus in Edmonds; it's gonna be kinda early for some of us, and that will give people a chance to be a few minutes late without missing the ferry. And to get lots of coffee!

This sounds pretty cool. I'd like to join in on this. I got my Yellow S2K a month ago and this sounds like a great reason for a little road trip. Looking forward to meeting other owners too.

I'e been lurking around on this site for a couple of weeks now but this is my first post. Hope to make many more!

David

Not only your first post but your first drive! Welcome aboard. You'll have a whole bucket of fun. Its a great feeling driving in a caravan of s2000's and the drive should be beautiful.

Just a note for the Eastsiders: SR 520 Evergreen Point floating bridge will be closed that weekend, so plan another way across/around the lake.

I've added a map above to show Hurricane Ridge road, check it out!

JPit (or anyone who's been there recently),

are we doing the whole loop, or do we just go up to the lodge and turn around?

Tedster,

The road stops about 1/2 mile beyond the lodge. You have to go back down they way you came up. When you go back to the Seattle area some of you can stay on 101 and go around Hood Canal. This is also a fantastic drive.

JPit,

so how far up is the lodge? I don't see it on my map.

.<later>

OK, I found a Park Service map that shows where the lodge and visitor centers are, and where the road ends.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Ferry
OK . They have a Jumbo ( 210 ) and a super Jumbo ( 240 ) on the
Edmonds run. For a 10:10 departure, I've been told to be at the
dock at 9:35am.
To come back on a Sunday, the crowd is from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
I hear it's not to bad anyway but we can run across a lot of traffic.

Hope for good weather ...
