Thumbs up The Antenna Fairy?!

Some of you guys may remember my post last week about my antenna being stolen. Well this weekend, something really odd happened. While I was washing my car, I noticed that my antenna was back.

So I thought maybe my friends were playing a prank on me, but after asking everyone, no one knew what I was talking about. My friends aren't the type to draw such a prank out... (its been a week). Also, if they did it they would have done something like taken randsom pictures... and they would confess at the end...

So where did this antenna come from? Did mine decide to take a one week vacation? did the culprit have a realization after one week, and decided to find my car and put it back? Or did the antenna fairy feel bad for me and replace it with a new one?

I guess the world may never know...

(By the way... I am happy to have an antenna again, but at the same time, I am really creeped out)

They stole it for their car and then realized how $hitty the reception was and felt bad for you so they put it back.

Probably the wife or mother of one of your neighbors found it and put it back. Or it was never missing in the first place and you just like the attention :-)

I did something like this a long time ago--I stole someone's 'H' emblem from the front of their Prelude, and then felt bad about a week later and put it back on. (older style just snapped into grill) I don't even think the girl who owned it noticed!

I am sure it was missing!! Also, the likelihood of the antenna just unscrewing on its own and then being found by someone who knows me... who would then put it back on my car instead of telling me they found it... is close to ZERO.

Maybe someone who parks in my work's parking garage stole it and felt bad and put it back on...

I had a similar experience last week with my gas gauge. I went out for a drive, odometer hitting the 159 mile mark. Now my gas gauge (MY04) since I've purchased the car has always been on 1/2 tank at 100 miles. When I got to my son's football practice my gas gauge was showing 1/4 to 1/3 full (consistent with the 159 miles). It's about 50 degrees out, I watch football for 1 1/2 hours and get back in the car. The gas gauge is showing two notches short of full on the gauge.

I'm thinking - someone is playing a joke on me, wife came and took car and filled it up while I'm watching practice. I look up at the trees surrounding the parking lot to find the candid camera. No camera. So I go to get gas to see if it will take 2 gallons (two notches) or 8 gallons - where it was when I stopped. It took 8 gallons. Not a good omen.

Tonight I am at two notches past 1/2 tank with 198 miles on the odometer. Me thinks me needs a gas gauge. Good grief

Going to Honda tomorrow for oil change. Will take it up with service.

My antenna hasn't moved during this episode.
