Smile Seats stolen!@$#

Well I didn't think it would happen to me, but it did. f*ckin losers cut my top and stole my seats while it was sitting in front of my apartment.

So now I will order some seat locks.. My only concern is that once they realize that the seats can't be removed, they will just slash them. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Not to mention by that point, the top will have already been damaged.

<Sigh>..

That totally blows. I hope they catch those low life losers. Maybe keep an eye on ebay for them too. Those brainless cowards might try to sell them...

True but for the fact that the thief's little heart is broken because he didn't get seats that he wanted would make me happy enough. The insurance company will probably have them reupholstered for you which will be nice since you are getting fresh leather. You should also add shock\proximity sensors to your OEM alarm (if you havent upgraded yet) so that way itll go off as soon as they get near and maybe even before they slash your top.

The shock sensor I use is the DEI 504M (~$20) and the proximity sensor is also by DEI and part # is 508D (~$30-$40 on ebay). The install is easy and the sensors work great.

Not to mention that you can still drive the car with slashed seats but not without them

Sorry about your incident. I hope those guys choke on a french fry.

I was at another shop over the weekend, where I spied a set of S2k seats in a Civic.

The owner was very quick ( the 1st thing from his mouth) to boast that he bought them new, all assembled from Honda. I then explained, that's odd, Honda only sells them in pieces. Covers, cushions, rails, all seperately. Surely you must be mistaken. He insisted he bought them new from honda assembled.

I never accused anyone of stealing them, But when the 1st thing out of his mouth is "I bought them new assembled" I'm more than a little suspicious.

I hope the bastard thieves get busted, and you get some seats quickly.

That's the bad part about the demand for the seats. You know damn well that some douchebag in a pos civic\integra would gladly throw 200-300 on a set of s2k seats, even if he knew they are stolen. Same goes for the hectic b-series motor theft in our country.
