Default Left Side Convex Mirror

I am looking at Prestige Auto Accessories' website and I see a convex driver's side mirror that helps reduce the blind spot. Has anybody had experience with this product ? Sounds interesting to me.

From the driver's seat how different is the rear view ( not the rear view mirror ) ? Do items look distorted ? Is there a mirror for the passenger side door ?

Finally where did you buy it ? I see prestige has them. Any body else stateside selling them ?

Thank you.

Stateside, No. Basicly this is the same mirror as the passenger side mirror, just without the "object look closer then they appear". The reason is in AU, they have RHD car (drive on the other side of the road) and this is their passenger side mirror. In AU they don't require that ""object look closer then they appear" be etched.

I got my from Muz (Prestige owner and S2000 owner) and I love it.

Stratocaster, how do you install the mirror ? Is it easy or hard ? Thank you the info.

They give you online directions when you purchase the mirror. When you're removing the original mirror, it really feels like you're going to break something because you pretty much just put your fingers in there and yank it out. Overall, it's pretty easy.

I put a 1 or 2" little convex mirror on ALL of my cars outside mirrors down in the lower corner. I have done it for 20 years and hate driving other peoples cars w/o them.

I got mine at Level Sports Level Sports. It takes some getting used to, but I really like it.

Ditto the above comments. The mirror also reduces headlight glare. You'll find you don't need to turn your head for changing lanes, which is nice. Flat mirrors like in my gf's Miata seem strange now that I am used to the convex type.
