Default ELDA Engineering Rollbars

The Go Fast Lab in conjunction with Elda Engineering is happy to announce the imminent availability of the SCCA Solo I legal Elda rollbar version 2.0.

This high quality piece is manufactured from mandrel bent 1.75" DOM 0.120" wall thickness steel tubing. The latest version of the Elda bar features full TIG welding and is built to exacting tolerances by an ISO 9001 2000 certified & ANSI-RAB certified manufacturer. It has laser cut bolt holes (not drilled) and an improved black powder coating finish.

Unlike the "style" bars currently available for the S2000, the Elda Engineering rollbar meets all applicable SCCA Solo I specs for improved safety on the track.

We're currently accepting pre-orders for these bars at the introductory price of $799.95 + shipping. They're currently in manufacturing and we expect a late March delivery date.

Please use this link to get more information http://marketplace.s2ki.com/s2ki/product.p...6&cat=48&page=1 and to place your order.

If you have any questions, please ask them here or fill out a support form on the Go Fast Lab site.

I'm 6'5" and I need all the seat travel. I use a Kirkey seat, but I still have it as low and far back as possible. Am I screwed? The horizontal harness bar appears to be the culprit. Are there any alternatives to get it out of the way?

Not-height-challenged,
Stuart, your best bet is to get a hold of Erik (cthree). We ran his car in OTC last year with the Elda bar and a Kirkey seat. Erik is over 6 feet so I'm sure he can shed some light on your potential comfort level with the bar/seat combo.

For depletedUfoot.
I have the second Elda Roll Bar installed.
I am 6'4" tall. Taller in the torso then legs with a 34 inch inseam for pants. I use an Ultrashield Spec Miata seat custom sized (similar to Kirkey but nicer in my opinion). The seat is bolted to the floor using some shims and also some manipulation of the floor to flatten it a bit. The rear of the seatback is fastened to the seat belt bar on the roll bar (the rear seat attachment is available from JEGS.com)
See the pictures.
My brothers both a little taller at around 6'6" with 36 inseam and they can both drive the car and meet the broomstick test as well. They struggle a bit with leg room vs me but have more helmet clearance than I do.
PM me if you need some help fitting or just questions.

Also a shot of me about to kick this Ferraris but. (she was definetely not very capable)

I'm interested, but what kind of cutting of the interior pieces are needed? The plastic roll hoop covers? If so, if i ever wanted to return my car back to stock, does anyone know if these parts are cheap from the dealer?
