Here are some pics of my S2000 and my friends Panoz Roadster A.I.V. The A.I.V. stands Aluminum Intensive Vehicle!

Here's a pic of the engine. . .this is the world's fastest Panoz Roadster with 8 lbs. of boost and over 450 horsepower! It dynoed at the Panoz factory with 4 lbs. of boost and none of the modifications he has done with a whopping 380 horsepower at the wheels!

Now the pics of the car. . .he removed the bumpers because he did not like the look!

Now on to the beast! The next thread (Part 3). . .

AIV = Aluminum Intensive Vehicle. Apparently, it is one of the first vehicle being built exclusively using all aluminum. I have seen several in town. They are very very fast. Although, I remember there are not many being built.

Cool Pics.

I'd rather have a TVR Tuscan R . . .

Cool, nonetheless, though.

Alright that's it! I saw Parts I & III first, as if that wasn't enough. Now I see a Panoz car, I'm calling god and asking if there was a mistake in my import papers! Man, some guys have all the luck. Who says money can't buy you happiness?

For the record, Panoz Automotive (www.panozauto.com) is a VERY small company (10 employees) out of Ga. They produced less than 200 cars a year for their first 10 years of existence. As of 2001 model year, the AIV is terminal. They don't make it anymore. They have a new car (Esperante), which has replaced it. The esperante is, in my opinion, an old man's luxury kit car. However, it's also available in the GTS package which is quite nice.

Nevertheless, the AIV Roadster is a SWEEEET ride, despite what you may think of its looks. 0-60 time is 4.6 stock. Curb weight is around 2500 lbs, engine is a 320 hp 4.6 ford cobra extract.

Personally, i think it's a hot looking car in person, except for the high windshield (classic roadster look) - which should probably be removed for high-speed drag reduction anyway.
