Default Hankook R-S2

I just found out about this new tire. I'm not really familiar with the brand, but it's supposed to be a max performance tire. Has anyone else heard anything or tried it?

They're now available from Discount Tire Direct.Cheap too--$95 for 245/45-16s

The have a lot of void, but they look promising nontheless. Especially since Falken dorked us and didn't make the new Azenis in our size again.

Here's a thread from SCCA with some guys who have RS-2s.

I have a set that was just delivered today. I plan to get them mounted tomorrow and run them at an autocross on Sunday. I'll write up a review on Monday.

Shaved or unshaved?

What sizes did you go with up front--205/55 or 225/50?

Excellent! I guess I'll wait to see what the review here says about them. The SCCA site didn't yet have anyone who tried them and gave an opinion.

In the pics posted there, the tread seems to have really good squared-off corners (squarer than the Azenis's), that I hope would give it nice cornering characteristics. The price is definately a plus.
