Didn't this website have a listing of TSB's. Where did they go?

This site hides them unless you are a member I believe. This has rubbed me the wrong way since these are not any sort of exclusive property this forum has a right to sell. I apologize if I'm mistaken on this, but that's the impression I get. Fortunately you can get these for free here thanks to www.s2kcarolinas.com

Wow, thanks for the enthusiastic plug.

Most of our site is still in the works but that is a direct link to our TSB directory. We are hoping to have our homepage up by the end of tomorrow that will include an indexed TSB section. Right now we just have the forum up but feel free to stop by and check that out.

I've been on this board for a long time. And over the years, I see how this board has changed. There was a discussion a few months back in the "Site Info" forum:

Update on forthcoming changes to s2ki

Where it was announced that the TSBs will become "members only" with the attitude that one must "pay to play". I (and several others) argued for keeping the TSBs public so new comers can have access to the information, which is publicly available anyway and would proof to be a great service to the S2000 community. I lost the argument because I am not a paying member of this board. Sadly, I feel this board is no longer serving the S2000 community the way it used to; it is now run by a small group of "insiders" who cares only about paying memberships and not the S2000 community.

I do agree with what everyone has said. We will never require payment for content. That is just something we don't believe in because we want to service the community to the best of our ability.

I don't want to get in the middle of something with s2ki. I know runninig this site isn't cheap or easy. For right now both myself and the other partner in s2kcarolinas.com have well paying day jobs. Being that the board is in its infancy, it just doesn't cost much for us to run, although the time spent programming and designing this board just over the past 2 weeks is getting way up there.

Yay for us for offering free TSBs but for right now in this particular thread lets lay off s2ki. Its still my favorite board outside my own and I would like to be allowed back...

Since the search function is not working, and the information is now "members only" anyway, I will give you some short answers.

TSB stands for Technical Service Bulletin. All car manufacturers publish them for their cars. These are sent to dealer service departments to inform them of technical issues (not always problems, just issues) and what the "fix" is from the factory. TSBs do not deal with recalls, and TSBs have NOTHING to do with warranty (or extended warranty).

Yes, there have been several recalls on the S2000. Depending on your model year, your car may or may not have any outstanding recalls. To find out, just take your car to any Honda dealer service department and they can look up the recall history for your car using the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

Good luck.

As for S2ki, yes, it is still a great board. I just have a different opinion as to what "service to the S2K community" means.
