It'll cost him $20 to post it in the FS forum as he would have to be a member.

it took me a week to sell my 04 GPW

my sell price was a bit lower than the average sell price, i spent three days detailing the car, and posted my photos throughout the detailing process. I was completely honest with the buyer so I am sure he felt comfortable with the purchase

Money talks, as the saying goes. Everyone's looking for a good bargain, give it to them and they'll take it. There's not much more you can do for a quick sale.

Carmax is known to offer significantly more than other dealers, though it still wont touch a private sale.

If you're familiar with Craigslist (www.craigslist.org) and are in a big city, that can have a quick turn around time (and it's free).

Ebay has the potential to sell quickly, though there is a bit of a learning curve if you've never done it before.

The traditional routes are autotrader.com and cars.com and print ads (newspapers and autotrader magazine). Print ads will of course take forever. If you post your car with lots of pics and for a good price on autotrader.com or cars.com, you will likely get offers emailed to you quickly.
