Default '05 radio pre-wired for XM

The stealership wanted $750+ for the XM module, I told them to take a hike. Where can I get the equipment necessary to enable XM on my '05 radio? I had it on my old '04 Silverado truck and miss having satellite radio.

Anyone know of any hook-ups?

cheaphondaparts.com or hardtopguy would be your least expensive OEM options. I'd ask in the Electronics forum about available aftermarket options.

entry level receiver $100
XM Direct Module+adapter $100
Modifry DCI $100

For $300 you have a superior system with XM and can retain dash controls.

Yeah, the "XM Radio ready" thingy for 04+ S2000s is pretty much BS - the stock headunit simply can communicate with an optional external decoder. You have to get the radio ($360 list) and antenna ($128 list) and the mounting bracket ($47 list.) Bah. The aftermarket path, like above, seems like a much cheaper way to go.

Oh, and I have the Honda headrest speaker kit I never installed in my '04. Let me know if you'd like to purchase it.
