Okay, I've gotten several PMs asking me about making keyhole plugs and how I made mine, so I promised I'd post directions on how I did it. One of our fellow members, billman250, makes fine plugs the he sells for $30 and that look very good, but for some enterprising folks, its more fun to make them yourselves. It cost me about $10 and two hours of my life to make these, so it should cost you the same. Of course, you can always PM billman250 too.
Here is how I did it, in one easy pic. Note that I had little direction to go on, so if anyone has any suggestions they'd like to make, I'm open to adding them to this diagram. Note the primer I had was plastic primer.
NOTE: The more you sand and polish between coats, and the more coats you add, the smoother and "glassier" the caps will be.

touch up paint? don't most of our touch ups paints match kind of bad?
My factory GPW touch up paint matched perfectly, and I imagine all touch up paint matches well, since its OEM.
I don't have the time to make these right now. Maybe I'll make some more GPW since I have the materials already, but if you just want to buy them, PM billman250 - his plugs look great.
yeh since i have alot of diy lately such as rear window tint i should try this. ill let you guys know how it goes today just hoping if i shake the bottle for 5min then itll match up better. I know the newer silverstone match up better on touchup compared to the older ones. If it doesnt match up ill just post em up for cheap or let someone with a new color model one have them or something
