Accounting Party
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME. WE WILL START AT 5:00 PM ON SUNDAY THE 11TH
After a reponse that exceeded all my expectations, the time has come to schedule the accounting. I think we all have a lot to feel proud of and a lot to be greatful for. In the spirit of thanksgiving, Barbara and I will be hosting an Accounting Party at my house in Canton on Sunday. I'm thinking of starting around five (5:00PM). We will have a cookout, and maybe a drive. Most importantly, Steve and I will publicly count the donations and announce the final total. Of course, we will accept more donations the day of the party for those who want to contribute.
Who is invited? All of you. From near and far. It doesn't matter if you gave to the fund drive, gave at the office, gave directly, or couldn't give at all. Let's just celebrate our community, our own good fortune, and our ability to help others.
Oh, and there'll be beer and wine too.
Please post to this thread if you can make it so we can get a count.

I'm first to post that we are in. I hope to come "bearing gifts. A couple more checks are "in the mail" to me and I'm still hoping a few others come through.

btw - i am bringing a special gift sent to US from Dave McCraken - what he sent brought up a tear to Mom's eyes

I wish I could make it but I have an appointment to look at like 12 houses on Sunday afternoon. So make sure you guys take some good pic's for me... Maybe I'll send a full size posterboard cut out of me
