Anyone ever fix carbon fiber?
I had a mishap last night. my j's racing CF hood was 'blown closed' by the wind, and the hood prop took a small chunk (about the size of half a dime) of resin out of the edge of the hood. the CF underneath is fine, and there is no splintering or cracking in the rest of the hood. Looks like i just need some kind of filler to fill in the missing chunk and then sand and polish.
any idea what kind of filler to use? Epoxy resin? Where do i get it? I a noob to this kinda stuff.

I'm not sure if I understand you right, so I'll say that pics will help. But if you are saying a chunk of the clearcoat/cleargel is missing there is a way to fix it. It will need to be resprayed in that area, sanded down and repeat until the height matches the existing. Very hard and tedious to do, most shops won't attempt it as they don't like to work with CF.
