i just got home from work tonight and noticed hazy mily like bubbles on my cf hood. i tried to wipe it off, but it seems like its inside the clearcoat or something. anybody know wwhat i can do to get rid of this? do i sand it down and reclear it again?

 

Depends...who manufactured the hood?

 

its a fiber images hood

 

I would ask them then. They are a U.S. manufacturer and at the least should warranty their stuff if it's defective.

 

i bought it used so i dont think i can go to fiber images witha complaint.

 

that doesn't sound right. Usually the milky swirls will show after only a couple of days in the sun. How long did the previous owner have it? Does it say fiberimages on it?

 

sounds like the hood is pitted which shouldn't happen if the clearcoat was done right the first time

 

previoud owner had it for about a year. and its not swirls. its looks more like bubbles under the clear or something.
