Default Love the car, but hating what is going on with it.

Problems:

At 2000 rpm in every gear when i accelerate their is a spike/ sudden lack of power for a split second and then it accelerates smoothly, it is driving me nuts.

The front rubber on the windscreen is coming loose.

The hood is squeeking really bad.

The brakes are not feeling all that powerful when driving hard.

The passenger seat squeeks when someone sits in it and rattles when nobody sits in it.

Honda have still not sent someone out to activate my alarm and have not sent me the first months due bill which is due in about 7 days, so i have to call them about both of those.

I may sound like i dislike the car, but i don't - i LOVE it, i just need all of the above to be sorted out as it is not acceptable

Sounds like you need to take it back to the dealership you bought it from.

You should never be below 6000 rpms.

Judging by your accent, you didn't mention that the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

My top clicked like crazy when I first bought it. I lubricated the heck out of it with white lithium grease and it solved the problem. The dealer should be able to help you with some of the complaints, but get used to occasional rattles. The stiff suspension encourages them.

a) Me too. There is an easy solution though, 6000 rpm clutch drops make you forget all about it

b) Yeah really annoying on certain roads when an empty seat starts to rattles. I usually quell the noise by dropping it to second or third and lettin 'er rip

Hope that helps

Honestly, WTF are you doing way down at 2000 rpm in ANY gear? I'm not saying like these other guys to let her rip yadda yadda, but seriously... WTF are you doing? You shouldn't be that low for really any reason. Try to keep the car @ 3k plus. Its ok, I promise. This engine is made to rev. Its not some GM engine that is turning over at 1200 RPM on the interstate, its turning @ 4200.

You keep bogging that engine at 2000 RPM and you are going to have bigger issues than the normal seat rattle, I promise.

Ha, I bet both the hood and seat rattling is from him lugging the motor everywhere he goes.
