Default Does my Ass look good in these ?

Got my 04 lights fitted today and I'm delighted.

They are so much brighter (both lights and brake lights) and although I hate orange lights...these have really freshened up the rear of the car.

Oh and the best bit ?......Symmetrical reversing lights

This morning it looked like this.....

and now it looks like this......

Looks fabulous in the dark too !!

I thought the OEM 04 lights had one fog and one reversing light ...

Were you able to order Jap ones without the fog? The asymmetry of the 04 onwards lights have always put me off them ...

He had a little help on that one

Since i went all the way and got 05 bumpers aswell I needed a UK rear light to replace my American one that I had originally bought for the same reason as Shipley so we came to an excellent agreement

Weren't they symmetrical before?

Looks good.
On mine yes originally but if you look at the UK 04 (like the black one in the For Sale thread), they have a reversing nearside and a fog lamp off side. It always put me off the upgrade before, cause then it would have been unbalanced...and with more orange so no real benefit to me.

One from a UK breaker and the other from the US, via Northern Ireland

Thanks again Michael.

Prefer the before pics in all honesty. It would be perfect if we could get the LED lights into the pre 04 lights.

Good job though

With AB

The earlier lights were a much nicer design, nice and simple

It took me a while to decide to be honest. When I was able to have both reversing lights though I went for it. I do think it looks somehow newer.

The difference in the power of the lights though is amazing. The LED's are bright and obvious but the brake lights...flippin hell...they are LOUD

(I've kept the old clusters and ensured the process is reversable if required.)

I always thought I would prefer the 04s, but looking at those pics, there's too little difference to matter I think.
