I had some time to work on my car monday so I started to do a little Sound deadening. The doors were first
I took off the door panels and pulled back the vapor Barer and sprayed rubber sound proofing in the door cavity, putting a little extra behind were the speakers go
Then I put on a mylar faced and backed foam product (3/16th thick) simular to Dynamat. The stuff is real light, maybe 1 1/2 to 2 pounds total for the two doors. I used about a 1/2 can (8OZ's) of the spray rubber.
WOW talk about a change in the sound of the stereo much deeper base CLEAN SOUND Doors have a air locking thud to them when you close them
I have the weird sound problem on the driver side of my door. Not a big deal but just very annoying. Maybe take the panel off and do a little project like this will help. Did you have hard time putting the panels back?
