Default BodyShop Recommendations in Sunnyvale? Or Who to stay away from?

Well my S2000 got a massive ding in a parking lot. It's right on the front wheel well, creasing it and actually causing a peak in the top of the fender, causing the paint to crack and flake. I've called my insurance and they recommend the following shops, anyone have any experience with them, or can recommend another place?

Cal-West Sunn.
C and C Mt.V
El Camino Auto body S.C.

I was refered to Raines Chevrolet by Hopkins honda, they seem like a clean shop, but are not on my insurance list so I don't get the "life time warranty".

Any advise? Or a place to look up reviews?

Andy

Andy,

check out

Da-Les Auto Body & Frame
728 San Aleso Ave (off of Mathilda by Dairy Belle & 101)
Sunnyvale, CA
(408) 734-3100

Ask for Dave (either Sr or Jr.) and tell him that Kelvin or Hopkins Honda set ya.

oh yeah,

Try Dent Pro first. I'm sure they can take care of that for you.

Well the verdict is in. I'm gonna go through my insurance, (not my fault, no rate hike) and their body shop, Cal-West. I went in met the owner and toured the place. They were working on a 2002 Porsche 911 turbo, no plates yet even and had sideswiped a pole! Anyway the work looks good etc. So the final estimate... $1048! Oh and Dent Pros won't do it, cause of the painting and all. Here are some pics, does this look like a 1K's worth of damage?!!

They would still have to blend the paint, that is were all the cost comes from. ??? OH well, my insurance is paying.

looking at the pics. if the paint hadn't of cracked, dentless repair would be able to fix that.
but since the actualy paid cracked, you have to get it bondoed and repainted.

I used Cal-West at the advice of my sister. Both of us had excellent work done by them. Mine was for a smashed grille, radiator, hood, & more on my Sentra. Zero problems with the work, even five years later. I highly recommend them.

Derek, thank you that is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm having them do the repair after the new year.
