The good news is he is making it right.
I am having new rubber put on the rear since I wore them out faster than the fronts. Imagine that.
I ordered Hankook Venus 104s and contacted a local tire dealer to arrange the install.
Before I arranged to have him install, I made it clear how peculiar I am about my S.
I met with him yesterday and left my baby with him. When I returned to get the car, I noticed the tires not installed. He told me that the installer let the tool slip and scarred my rim. He hastened to add that he contacted Honda and ordered a new wheel which should be here today.
I took the car home but on close inspection, it is very hard to see the scrape. If he had not told me what happened, I may not have noticed it until the next wash.
That kind of honesty is rare these days.
I just wanted to pass this on. It renews some faith in people who are willing to do the right thing only because it is the right thing to do.
Too often we tell others about poor customer service/workmanship, then they tell 10 people and so on. News of bad service seems to get passed along more quickly than good customer satisfaction. It's nice to hear the opposite from time to time.
some tire monkey installing a rear tire on my wheels scarred it as well. I saw it right away and they say it was there before, they didnt do it. BS... Lots of arguments later it led to nowhere and i have a scratched rim for free... you lucked out dealing with honest people.
