Smile My Comptech S/C! FOR SALE! Never Opened...

Well, I ordered the Comptech S/C through NOPI last Wednesday, and decided to buy JCA's used S/C instead...

When I ordered it, I was told that it would be 18-20 days to ship... I called this Monday, and cancelled the order... They said "No problem, buddy..." -- Okay, so my order is cancelled, right?

WRONG.

Well, I got a call today, telling me that my order actually shipped last Friday...

I called, and they were like "Sorry, man... I know we told you that we cancelled your order 4 days ago, but you're SOL... You'll have to pay for shipping back to us... AND maybe a restocking fee"

SO:

HERE'S the deal for you...

I am going to have a S/C w/o Aftercooler in my hands tomorrow (UPS confirmed)... It LISTS for $4,895!

The prices currently are:
Hardtopguy $4,805 + shipping
Hardtopguy

Evasive $4,295 + shipping
Evasive

All you have to do is get the aftercooler upgrade and you will still make out in price savings.

Barely.... It's more a matter of reducing air intake temps... You lose a slight ammount of boost, but make up for it with the denser air charge...

I don't think it makes much if any more power...

After doing research, the Comptech was originally developed without the A/C available... and it worked great... Then, Vortech came out with theirs, which had an aftercooler... To avoid people not buying theirs because they couldn't get it aftercooled, they developed it...

There is still the matter of the CORE CHARGE... I haven't figured out how to deal with that yet... I was sharged $400 for a core charge on the factory crank pulley, so somehow I would have to work that out...

The Aftercooler levels out the power from cool temps to hot temps. In 70 degree air there is not much HP difference but if the temp goes up the aftercooler makes a difference in HP. How much only comptech really knows.
