I will admit. I was a bit skeptical of the whole concept. Well, im here to say, i'll probably never wash my car without using the Mr. Clean car wash system again. The thing really works! My car dried to a perfect shine. Way better then i could have done using a shammy. If you havent tried it yet, i recommend you do. You'll be a convert like me.... lol

 

Thats exactly what I said after watching the S dry with Mr. Clean. I kept searching for water spots like a hawk, but I got nothing. What kind of wax are you using? Your S is looking sharp.

I was also thinking how it would keep the swirl marks down since you don't have to use a chamois. win win.

 

It works ok in some cities and it doesnt work in others. It depends on the water and how "hard it is". We are getting a soft water tap so = no need for mr clean.

I thought it was great the first time I used it as well. However, the car didn't dry as well the second, third, and other times I used it. Plus, I found the soap didn't last that long and neither did the filter. After a couple of months I ended up giving it away to a friend.

Yeah, chamois are awful and will cause swirls. Waffle weave microfiber towels are 100x's better for drying and won't leave swirl marks.

 

Sup MikeyC! To be fair to the product. It does say you have to replace the filter after 3 washes. I thought the soap worked well, but this is the first time i used it. Next time i wash my car i'll post my results. thxs!

 

Yes, the starter filter only lasts for a few washes. The regular filters are supposed to last longer. Others have used other car wash soaps in their autodry with good results... I was a little impatient the first go around and ended up drying the car with a MF towel anyway.

To the best of my recollection the refills are supposed to last 10 washes. I wash my car so much that the costs would have added up substantially. So, I guess it's a good thing I didn't like it.

 

So, the best feature of the whole system is that it filters the rinse water? There's gotta be cheaper ways to accomplish that.
