Default My 2.5L Stroker Engine Buildup Thread

Hello everyone,

I know the inlinePRO Stroker has alot of mixed opinions from the s2ki.com members. There are good and bad stories out there and really i dont want to start any argument with this thread. This thread's purpose is to show my personal buildup of the stroker kit, from scratch to the finsh when its dyno'd in my car. Once this kit is done, I'll create a thread in the sponsors forum for sale, and along with the kit, IF IT IS INSTALLED AND TUNED BY US AT THE SHOP, WE ARE OFFERING A 2 YEAR WARRANTY ON OUR STROKER KIT. I dont know of a shop offering this type of warranty on a product like this.

I'm doing an All-Motor buildup, and thought it'd be cool to create a thread on here. It'll be updated throughout the next few days/weeks depending on how much time we have after work each day.

Plans consist of the InlinePRO 2.5L stroker kit, around 13:1 compression, built head.

Everything custom'd by our builder Jeremy Allen "ALLENBUILT" !

GOAL? don't know yet, hoping for a big suprise

Today was Day 1 ( 5/2/06 )

We sleeved a block a while ago, and decided to use that for my project. Today we began work on the block.

Did some milling on the block

beginning of the bore =)

ready for honing =)

We should be finished with the honing tomorrow and have the block ready for assembly.

Once its ready, these shiny little babies go in there =)

I'll be keeping this thread updated everyday/chance i get as progress continues. Enjoy everyone.

Inline Pro,

Thanks for the thread...many of us will be hanging on your up-dates! Love the honing pictures...I was always so envious of the technicians in the machine shop getting to use the multi axis milling machines!!
Question...at 13:1 compression, will this need near 100 octane gas? And, what do you think the compression would need to be on 91 octane (like here in CA)?

Thanks

TheChemist,

Many people are gonna think and bash on Jeremy for even thinking about 13:1 comrpession on pumpgas. The goal of this car is a daily driven car, as it is mine, and I will be driving it to work daily to my 9-5 job.

The normal stroker kit has 11:1 compression, which is fine for 91 octane with proper tuning.

Like i said, i'll be updating the thread everyday/chance i get, all the way to the day it dyno's

The head is pretty much gonna be built. Still not sure where it'll lose power as of yet in the powerband until we dyno it. I'm sure it can rev pass 9k, the question is, if its worth it.

stay tuned and find out

no oil jets.

None of Jeremy's race motors use oil jets. Our race motor that made 800whp in the integra and won nopi, set nopi's record, did not usre oil jets. The motor lasted a year an a half without a true rebuild in the block.

Unless you plan on running a 24hour le mans series with your s2k, its not neccasary. Again, this is one of the things i know people will mention / "bash" about, but we believe in this kit, and thats why we are offering the 2 year warranty of it if we install it and tune it.

Please just stay tuned
