Hi All

I had my alignment checked yesterday purely for peace of mind after rattling around on some of Scotland's worst surfaced roads over the last 22k miles.

The report I got from St Andrews Honda sadly didn't have the happy green boxes that I have seen on some to show that has been put right - they also appear to have used a customized CR-V setup for starters.

I'm far from technically minded but I can't seem to tie up the final values from the report to anything much from the FAQ - the front camber for instance would appear to be well out, or am I missing something?

The values for an 04 onwards from the FAQ are as follows:

Wheel alignment from 2004 workshop manual
Item Measurement Qualification Standard or New Service Limit

Wheel alignment Camber
Front at inspection −0

 

Looking at it you settings are way out.

Your front castor is way off and very different from left to right side.

you have no camber and no toe in.

The settings are not correct for the 04, let alone S2000.

You should take the FAQ settings in to show them what they should be achieving

 

isn't that the problem..

clearly the tech has made a mistake with the target values.. and has been playing all over the place trying to make an S2000 to match a CRV numbers.. which it is not designed to do.... so you are worse off than when you started.

I would ask for my money back and go somewhere else..

 

That's kind of what I had feared - I had just hoped I was being stupid and missing something before I went on the warpath.

Fairly standard for a Scottish Honda dealer.

 

I had my alignment checked at St Andrews last year and they gave me a before and after printout that looked very similar to the first sheet in Sarren's post.

Unfortunately I don't have them anymore as I passed them on to the new owner ...

 

Were they pished?

Dealer survey needs updating!

 

The front is all over the shop I'll bet that makes for interesting handling!

The rear is better but still not good!

Take the FAQ print out in or PM me for a PDF of an 04 set up from another Honda dealer that is actually correct!

Get a refund and take it somewhere who knows what they are doing!

 

Way out...

Get it sorted asap.
