Does anyone know of a good Hi-beam headlights replacement? My hi-beam is real yellow and would like it to be like my low-beam - a real bright blue white! Would appreciate Mfg; parts #

Try one of the rice rocket mags. They have imitation HID for Civics. They might have something for our high beam.

I heard HIDs for the high beams were illegal. They must be awesome.

I think he said IMITATION HID. HIDs arent yet available for the high beam because of the "power up" delay...

I think Mercedes is working on a system where the HID bulb is physically moved from one position (the low beam) to another (for the high beam). Pretty slick, eh?

In the mean time, yep the bulb is H1 and while there is no real HID for it, a bulb of similar color output can be had...

good luck! Its on my list too, simply because of the odd look of the stock H1 vs the HID.

The new Porsche 911 Turbo has a headlight system like this. A lense actually moves to focus the HID's to be either highs or lows. Amazing the kind of technology you can get for $115,000! It is an amazing car, though.

Glad I'm not the only one being "warned" about my lo-beams. Actually my dealer screwed around with my left HID because it was pointed so low that I would overdrive the lighted area at 40 mph. Now everyone brights me although it is aimed lower than the right.
