Audi has had high-and low-beam HIDs for a while now....BiXenon projectors.

I'd suggest Osram Silverstars (NOT Sylvania, Osram's sister company).

Osram Silverstar, and similar +50% bulbs, Philips Vision Plus can only purchased from oversea, one of the place is
http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk

I bought some Philips Vision Plus bulbs from this place few years ago for my '00 E430 and '94 LS400 without problem. No shipping charge for all orders, you just pay for the bulbs only.

Osram Silverstar was the best +50% bulbs last year, but Philips Vision Plus is the best this year according to Auto Express.

Wow, what an old thread. If you want highbeam replacements, I recommend Raybrig. Kinda pricey, but they look great.

A lense actually moves to focus the HID's to be either highs or lows. Amazing the kind of technology you can get for 5,000! It is an amazing car, though.

I believe you get that same technology on the TL, RL, Maxima, 350z and many others.
