We were suppose to go kayaking today, but the Hummingbird called us asking if we'd like to go on a trip up to the Kangamangas. How could we refuse!?!?! We met in Concord, had lunch, then drove up 93 to the Kangamangas. Went through the White Mt's into Conway. Then took 153 south to the PPP (Poor People's Pub) in Sandbornville for dinner. Then stopped in Rochester for some home-made ice cream. Pretty close to 200 miles. What a day!! Great roads, great scenery, great company
This was a great trip, and I was wondering how many would be interested in doing such a trip in the future? Maybe even going up the Mountain Road up Mt Washington? I was thinking sometime in July.
Anywho, here's a few pics of our adventure today......
Trees are still budding! Nice climb up the Mountain
Hummingbird's on my tail!
Kangamangas Highway
Stopped at the Milton Falls, water level is a bit lower than a few weeks ago!
It's definately a full day of driving, but man what a great ride! Rte 153 was a bit bumpy, but was just full of curves to carve from Conway to Maine, all the way to Rte 125 where we took it in to Rochester. I don't think we could do that loop and Mt Washington in the same day, that's a looooong day. I myself have yet to drive up Mt Washington, I would love to do that this year. We could make up bumper stickers that said "This S climbed Mt Wasington" and stick em to the back bumper.......
