Default S2000 Track Records

Thought it was about time to start a living S2000 Track Record thread to give novices something to shoot for as well as generate more competitiveness amongst the S2ki track junkies for top spots.

Not sure if these are all accurate and perfectly up-to-date, but it's a good start. PM updated/corrected info or submit your info for other tracks around the world to me and I'll update 'em.

Hmmm... If the intent is to give something for novices to shoot for then you might want to limit this to street tire times or maybe DOT

I agree w/ dave we probably should have classes like aspiration, tires and race prep.

Thunderhill w/ Cyclone: 2:01.759 NA-RA1s (6/11/06)
Laguna: 1:42.2 NA-RA1s (10/2005)

I'd have to dig thru others.

And us Honda Cup guys were faster than dave (not by much) at laguna, but the track is faster than it was then.

Btw looks like karner beat me at laguna. he did a 1:41.9

<imo>

You should do top 2 or 3 for each track/class.

[CODE]
Classes should be:
Street Car:
- Street Tires
- Race Tires

Updated. Now I have something new to shoot for at TH, ya bastard!

I thought about classes and shit, but even if we did street/race tire class, w and w/o boost there'd soon be street/race tire class w/and without boost w/coilovers, and then subcategories for CAI and wings, AP1 vs. AP2, etc. Plus even I'd have to argue that JRZs are worth more at any of the tracks in CA than a Supercharger and 4 year old single adjustable Teins that were purchased used....

I prefer things straight and simple--and there's nothing simpler than the absolute fastest time at a track in an S2000.

I had forgoten about this...
OTC '03

2:00.031 ThunderHill CCW with Cyclone
1:59.962 ThunderHill CW with Cyclone

Bobcat has the CCW time beat but i think my CW time stands.
