How were the seats in the S430? My parents had an S-class Mercedes (previous generation to the one you tested) and the seats were excellent. There were so many adjustments you can make. It may be perfect for your situation. Good luck.

Maybe there was too many adjustments. As big as that car was and with all it's seat settings my wife could not get comfortable. Perhaps if she had a full day to play with all them it would have been different. Personally I felt the Lexus handled rough roads better as far as the suspension goes. It certainly was a beautiful interior, that's for sure with every electronic thing you could imagine.

If only it was that easy.

Recently with a shoulder problem I'm having it's been Ibuprofen. Then S2000. Didn't need the Ibuprofen with the BMW since it was an automatic.

Recaro makes a line of orthopedic seating fully adjustable to accomodate just that thing.
Check with your dealership of whatever you pick. They can recomend someone who can make her seat fit perfectly. There's lots of different inserts and things they can put in many stock seats to make the ride better for her.

Then you can have both worlds.

The CTS only has one downfall - the seats on a long trip (300 miles or more) just don't make it. It's great on dealing with ruts, etc., still like the looks, love the torque (250 at 2800 rpms) of the 3.6 liter, and the seats are fine around town. It's the only car that Donna does not need to stuff with pillows. However, on a long trip it feels like you are sitting on a bench. According to one of our S2000 owners who works for the company who supplies the seats its because they skimp on the materials which break down w/in 2 years. I know...... what else would you expect from a domestic company. He said they talked to GM till they are blue in the face. Since I got this as essentially a summer trip car I am very disappointed. Probably my last ever American car. Sad too, since I think the dealership is one of the very best. Example, I have put 4000 on it and a tire went bad, took it in, and without asking they are replacing two tires plus a full alignment for free.

That must be a FL thing due to all the gray hairs. I've never heard of anything like that around here and we've discussed her condition now almost every car dealership within 100 miles.

I have a friend that owns a custom mobility company. He does things you wouldn't believe to create vehicles, boats etc that handicapped people can drive.

I'll probably see him next week I'll ask him what's out there. He gets lots of people referred to him from a doctor. That way medicare etc pays for it. Check with her physician.

If you type Recaro Orthopedic into google you should find who carrys them near you. The trick I supose is to get it fitted right.
