Thumbs up ACT clutch "decel buzz" - common?

I did a bit of searching and found a few threads on the type of noise I am experiencing after install of an ACT HD clutch, but none appeared to mention the ACT clutch in particular.

The noise is just as described in the title, and most easily heard at lower and mid rpms (I have an HKS exhaust) during decelleration (sp?)............... depress clutch pedal and no buzz. DID resurface the flywheel.

If it were a 'minor' buzz, I wouldn't be worried............ not to sound superficial, but it does sometimes make the car sound like a POS when driving in the vicinity of people. Yeah, I could depress the clutch and no sound, or just put in neutral.......... But I generally prefer to row down the gears during decel.

Clutch disk is ACT, which I thought was a re-packaged OEM?

Otherwise, the clutch is a HUGE difference than OEM; nice and tight.

Have others experienced a 'decent size' clutch decel buzz with an ACT setup? My stocker didn't make a sound........................ it just slipped all the time

ah, during my search, I came across the '1-2 grind TSB'. I am assuming that this refers to a grind when quickly rowing from 1st to 2nd at high rpm................. at least that is when I sometimes encounter it (no comments on driving please - have only owned stick cars for last 15 years ). Is there a TSB # which I can reference?

thank you for taking the time time to read this posting,

Mark

Alot of aftermarket clutches have decel buzz. sometimes its the clutch that you choose with the flywheel that doesnt agree and makes that buzz. i have that problem but it is nothing to worrry about because it is just a noise and doesnt affect the performance of the car. i dont know anyway to fix it.

I have no buzzing on my competition clutch clutch kit. I still haven't gotten any of my customers to complain about rattling or buzzing.

I can't spell how is sounds.............. perhaps like you would expect some small springs to sounds if they were vibrating.................no doubt the springs on the clutch disk............ but I thought the disk was a repackaged OEM disk..............Any yes, only hear on decel when in gear.............. when not in gear, the clutch disk slows and stops.

Hmmm... I have no decel buzz with my ACT/comptech setup. How loud is the decel noise? Maybe I just can't hear it with my exhaust.
