This is a DIY for how to install S2X's CF Gauge Cluster Trim. I know alot of people were wondering about how to install this before they brought one. Mods, if this doesn't belong here, feel free to move it.

DISCLAIMER: The procedures, methods and products written up here was for my circumstances only. I make no assertions that your results will be the same nor do I claim that this is the best way to do it. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

1. Remove the black clip circled in red so you can swing the long black piece out of the way. Then unbolt the 12mm bolt circled in green. There are two of these, one on each side fo the steering rack. (torque to 16lb-ft when reinstalling)


2. Unscrew the 3 screws circled. Then carefully remove the lower half if the shell around the wiper/light controls.


3. Unbolt the 2 circled 12mm nuts. The steering wheel should drop now and clear the dash bezel. (torque to 12 lb-ft when reinstalling)


4. Using a small flat head screwdriver wraped in electrical tape, carefully remove the two caps circled in red. Unscrew the two phillips head screws underneath.


5. Using a flathead wrapped in electrical tape, carefully pry the dash bezel off without damaging the plastic. (The area below the defrost and cruise control button are nice places to stick your screwdriver in since you can't see if you bent the plastic.) After you've freed the bezel from its clips, be sure to unclip the electrical connectors. There is one for the Engine start button, radio controls, cruise control, defrost, and a/c controls.


6. Unscrew the 4 circled screws. Carefully tilt the gauge cluster forward and unclip the electrical connections in the rear.


7. Unscrew the 2 circled screws.


8. Using a mechanics pick or small flat head, unclip these circled clips. There is one on each side.


9. Carefully unclip the circled clips with a mechanics pick/flathead(be very careful not to crack these). The black trim should now come straight off.


10. This is what it should look like with the black trim off. Make sure the surface of the gauge cluster is free of oil and dust before applying the CF trim.


11. Reinstall in reverse order. End result should look something like this:
