Default Help! Won't start

Came to start the S this morning (admittedly first time for 2 weeks). Just a loud whirring noise when I turn the key. Don't think the engine is turning over. Does this sound like a low battery, or do I need to call out the paramedics ??

Damn, there goes a great day out in the Cotswolds...

Yup, battery is dead. You may be able to bump it, but if the battery is dead it wont restart next time. Given your car is new, it mayjust be flat.

Yep, AA man attended mine all them years ago, got enough charge in it to get it to go (and start next day to get to the dealers to fit a new battery).

Refrain from battery draining activities to get it to start next day....

(FYI it was one cell had failed in the battery, but overnight in my case....)

Does that work under extended warranties as well? Just asking because I'll need to extend mine in Jan.

I think that AA cover is an option with the extended warranty - I'd expect the battery to be considered a consumable, so you'd still fork out the 50 odd quid.

Correct, it is an additional cost option of around

Don't you mean press the button?

Loud wering noise could be that the starter motor is not engaging?
