My name is Chris, I am a colleague and close friend of Takashi. Here is an account I wish to share with you cuz Takashi is frequently around as his favourite pastime at work. Yesterday was my 24th birthday and the boys got around to celebrating with me after work. We had dinner and headed for a nightclub to dance the night away. In my 2 years of working with Takashi, he never goes to a nightclub cuz he feels the ambience does not suit him while he finally made an exception last night after much begging. Everyone thought that this will cheer him up as well cuz he's been feeling down since his girlfriend away.

The night went well till a group of Lebanese guys spotted me, while one was harassing me and it started to get annoying. They started coming around, pushing, shoving their way and tried to touch me. The boys tried to stop it while Takashi said it was better to leave, he pulled my hand and we headed for the exit not knowing that half of the group followed along as well. We headed for the carpark to his car then we realised that we were being tailed, they started making rude remarks and racist comments while shouting loudly at the top of their voices. That was when trouble started, one of the guys from the group comes up and grab me and Takashi tried to fight him off. Then the group of guys come running up and started to attack him, all I could remember in the confusion was he was surrounded and assaulted by 6 or 7 guys and I ran off to call for help.

When I returned in less than a few minutes after calling the Police and getting help from the nightclub security, the group of guys had ran away while Takashi was bleeding profusely from the head and he was getting unconcious while the security tried to give him medical aid. He went unconcious after telling me to let everyone he knows what happened. The ambulance arrived not long and took him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he underwent a 4 hour sugery suffering serious head injuries caused by metal objects like pipes and multiple stab wounds on his body noted from the Detective present in-charge of his case. Doctors put him under critical watch in ICU after the operation and has since been transferred to a private hospital by his parents request from Japan. He is still in a coma with serious but stable condition at least 12 hours after the incident. His family and girlfriend were subsequently contacted while they are trying to fly into Sydney asap.

I feel it is my moral obligation to pass his message on not only because he is a close and good friend but I was somehow the cause of this horrendous incident. Everyone that knows him here in Sydney are all shocked and deeply regret what has happened last night. Because he has so many board friends here I believe, it has come to my duty to inform you so as everyone else possible. I hope you will pray with us and hope that he will regain his concious soon. He is a well respected, talented and young gentlemen who has great love for his work, cars, friends and family and puts his 110% in everything he does. I spoke to his girlfriend not long ago on the phone who has been crying all night while she spoke about their marriage he promised when she returned and now all she hopes is he wakes up from hell. Sad event... I hope he'll gain his consciousness back. Hope the police catch those bastards.

OMG! Thank you for the information. It is not your fault that a bunch or drunk racist idiots did this. I certainly hope that Takashi recovers form this attack and that justice is served.
