Me, my M3 and Hwy 1
Sweet sweet car, my boss had an '01 Silver/Red (ohhh that red interior rules). He has an '02 Silver/Tan SMG on order. You are one lucky man, the M3 is by far the most comfortable high-performance sports car I have ever driven. The seats alone are worth the pricetag. It's an extremely fast car, very easy to get going into the triple digits without even realizing it.

Thanks Loki for providing me with my new Windows background for the week!
One of my favourite cars, on my favourite road! You're killing me right now....I am in the dead of Winter up here in Canada on slippy roads and snow this past weekend! I love the E46 M3, and if I had the money I would buy one right now (wouldn't be selling the S2000 tho', that's a keeper).
Where Highway 1 starts getting exciting for me is just south of Leggett and I'm grinning all the way to Santa Barbara. I've done this in less exciting machinery and was in awe, but I can imagine that an S2000 or M3 would just be riotous. I'm planning to do this route this May (warmer weather and before the mobile chicanes otherwise known as RV's plague the highway). Sections of this road can be very treacherous and I'd be willing to bet that if you're pushing it, the M3 with it's "electronic countermeasures" would likely be a more forgiving partner on those decreasing radius, off camber, no armco, 400 feet swan dive to a craggy rock bottom corners.
There are also some good "B-roads" in that area that I've accidently stumbled upon but have long forgotten the route. Anybody got any suggestions of good roads down there?
