Oil seeping from diff mounting point
I really need some help. One of the mounts that holds up the differential is leaking oil. It is the side opposite where the propellar shaft eventually leads into (the side facing the rear of the exhausts). The diff is bolted onto a subframe and then that subframe is bolted on to the cars chassis. The part where chassis and the subframe are connected is leaking oil. In fact, it stopped after 2 weeks of leaking. Should this mount have oil at all? I brought it to Honda and they say it is from a previous oil change (they might have looked at the differential specifically and not the mount, since I changed the diff fluid one week ago). Anyone have any thoughts?
Those big rubber mounts sure appear to contain an oil damper.. there are stains on my exhaust system that look like mine was leaking. It is an expensive part (over $75) so maybe there is more to it than rubber. Has anyone take one out and examined it?

This was all covered under warranty. You should take it in.

Glad I could help. Really like the Ti knob. Like the heavier feel and color.
Yeah get it fixed. It was strange that it happened. Maybe a rock hit...I really don't know. The techs were very puzzled and had to call a Honda tech service to see if they had any ideas. They didn't make a big deal out of it.
