Default Stock 2.0 and 2.2 Dynos?

I'd like to compare the dynos for a stock 2.0 and stock 2.2. I tried searching but the search engine royally sucks.

There is a thread that I found that has this info but the AP2 had an intake.

Yep.

Well, I had a gutted airbox and a resonatorectomy (removed exhaust resonator), but they're sound mods.

Based on that dyno, I see no benefit with the 2.0.

I do, 9.2k rev limit.

The 00-01 models had a more conservative stock tune hence the drop after 8.4k. The newer models had a more aggressive stock tune putting out more power up top. I wish my car had the 2.0L. The sound of the engine at 9k = .

The benefit is the higher redline. AP1s make less peak power, but they make high power for longer, so it balances out. They are equally as fast. SO it comes down to this: do you want more tq or higher redline. To me.. 1k rpm >>>> 7HP, 10 tq any day.

Based on that graph, the AP1 only carrys the power for a couple hundred RPM then drops off considerably.

the last hundred or so RPMs cannot be considered valid. . and I wouldn't consider 10hp a considerable drop anyway. You can race based on a graph if you want, but its proven that both cars are pretty much equal over a long race once you hit 6k and the added peak power is negated due to lowered reline. So like I said before.. do you want more power down low for driving 'around town', or the fun of hitting 9k.. up to you. In an extended race they are practically even.
