Default My Dyno

Since I'm done w/ 2006 and will have plenty of changes for 07 I figured I'd share this.

The lower line is my car in ~2003 when it was still a street car but had basicly the same engine mods up till June of this year.

The higher line is with the following.
- AEM EMS
- 2.0L block which was ~2 years old.
- Karners Old Custom Intake
- Toda Header
- Toda Spec C cams
- Toda Adjustable Cam Gears
- Supertech Dual Valve Springs and Ti Retainers
- Custom 3" exhaust from burns stainless (welded by TC Design)
- 9300 rev-limit

I should add that the cams and the cam gears gave the least gains. (only a couple hp).

And AEM....

Since the Cat is out of the bag so to speak, how much time did these mods net you at the local tracks? Anything noticeable?

Okay, so the cat's out of the bag . And the difference in tires is worth about a second too (18's vs 17's on my car last year vs this year). So I feel better now about my performance this year vs you and Derek .

richard post your dyno. your 2.2L and ems is -atleast- that much hp. that and I didn't get the hp till mid season (cal speedway event) sorta shoots your theory cuz I was still beating you before then

and bill yes sorry I forgot the ems. duh. as for time, it's really hard to say. not nearly as much as I had hoped for. I'll go back and see but at thill I didn't see much of a change. .5 to maybe 1 sec. Tho the extra 300 rpms was handy.

I recall only 210 HP, but could be wrong, but it was much lower than expected. No print out. I remember Shawn was puzzled and Drew disappointed. Well the tires alone would make me lap myself last year vs. this year .
BTW, my fastest lap in first race at Cal speedway was faster than yours . Skinnier tires don't last the race as well. Same even last weekend, where qualifying is within half second, but no comparison in race.
You need to get a spec F2000 too so we can really compare .

shawn will have the dyno. you can have him plot it vs mine.

And yeah right you tried to race me and are running off to a new series, I'm not gonna spend that kind of $ (for a F2k racer) to beat you there Besides right now I'm not interested in formula cars.

I'll be up here in ITE all next season and as I already told you bitterman and I will be renting spec miatas atleast 1 weekend and you're more than welcome to rent one then and come race us too.

Richard was also running smaller 17's. Max size for honda cup was 255x4 w/o a 100lbs penalty
