Default Got my 1 day old S2000 impounded and I was arreste

On Tuesday I was driving on a main road, up ahead I saw a huge line of cars and a bunch of police officers stopping people and handing out some sort of flyer

I end up going up to them, ready to make my donation ( I figured they were collecting donations for the holidays ) and to my surprise the police officer tells me to pull up to the parking lot and throw the keys out of my car

About 5 minutes later an officer walks up to my car and asks for I.D, I told him it was stolen and I would have my girlfriend bring some form of I.D for me.

The cop didn't even wait until my girlfriend came, next thing I know some tow truck driver is hooking up my 1 day old S2000 up to his truck and I'm being asked too place my hands behind my back. I started arguing, they charged me with failiure to carry I.D and resisting arrest. They later brought that down too " not cooperating with a city official. "

The cops ended up pulling my 9 year old niece out of the car, I was put in the back of a police car not knowing what happened to my niece or my S2000. When I got to the police station I was told I was being booked for 1 day and they tried looking up my name for booking, it turns up DMV mispelled my name so they couldn't I.D me positively.

Anyways fast forward to wednesday, I was released and all charges were dropped, I still had to pay for my car to be released from the tow yard though but all in all my S2000 is ok and I'm happily at my house.

Here is a picture of my S2000

It was sort of my fault, I should have turned on to a street and just jetted, I figured i would give them a donation, I should have looked to my right and I would have seen the tow trucks and the cars getting towed

He said his ID was stolen, not the car. So really, what were the cop blockade about? Are there a lot of cars stolen where you're from?

My guess is it was part of a "Click It Or Ticket" program or some other such nonsense designed to keep us safe while enhancing revenue.
