Default GB: 200Cell High-Flow catalysts Group buy

Lickermat has approached me to see if I can produce a direct fit high flow catalyst for the S2000

The answer to this is yes but I would need to get orders for between 5 & 10 to get this off the ground.

Please let me know via this post or PM if you would be interested.

They will be T304 Stainless steel, OE front collector flange, rear Lambda boss and a 200 Cell (standard is 400 Cell) high-flow ceramic catalyst with a spun body.

They will be OBD-II compliant which means ok for MOT & no EMS issues.

200 Cell is kind of half de-cating, in other words 50% increase in flow but maintaining a catalyst reaction to keep the rear Lambda and the MOT man happy.

GB price will be about

Only reason for decat for me was to reduce drone (got an Invidia). Would this put the drone back or would it be a half way house?

Good idea though and looks a good price.

Bet that's way cheaper than an OEM one as well!

Well I for one would be interested but at this stage I am also considering a relpacement exhaust. Two questions:

1. Will the car need a remap / piggy back ECU to obtain any advantage from the higher flowing cat or will the ECU be able to compensate for the altered flow rate? I know you said there won't be any EM issues, just wondered if this cat will give me 1 billion rwhp or not

2. Would the freer flowing cat alter the exhaust sound in terms of volume or tone or will that all be absorbed by the silencer?

Apologies if these sound like "Have a look under your car you muppet" questions but I am only collecting my car at the end of the month

Cheers,

Andy

The sound would be half way house if the Civic Type R was anything to go by.

I produced the CTR HFC last year, loads quieter than the Magnex decat but louder than OE.

Cabin drone? A difficult one, trial and error im afraid.

OE price 18160-PCX-GOO =

Its a good plan , saves any hassle for MOT and gives up some BHP + Torque. Id find it hard to see how it could be any worse than the OE unit for noise , maybe quieter as its flowing better so will still help to reduce the drone for those who have it

At that price it is worth having one in the garage.
For when you do actually need to replace it.

Does not need a remap, Stoat. Decats on their own dont give v much HP gain, but they are definately a good combination mod.
