Default Nightmare come to life

Just got my babe T-boned tonight on my way home from work. A lady in a Jeep wasnt paying attention and decided to pull out from a stop sign as I was making a turn in front of her

It was a low speed impact but the driver side front fender and door are crunched.
Thankfully, the door still shuts fine, the window works and seals properly and as far as I can see, there is no alignment issues (car feels fine while driving too).

My poor baby!

She had USAA insurance. I've seen some bad reviews around the web for them but I also know people dont often relate their good experiences. Called the claim center and it seems to be going smooth so far, but it's too soon to tell.

Opinions, Suggestions, Experiences with this insurance co. would be welcome

Sorry to hear about your S!

Well, I am insured by USAA myself. A few years back, my wife had a minor mishap but they were very good to work with. I've been using USAA for 10+ years. As customer service goes, they are top rated according to reviews... granted, that may be pertaining to their own customers but I've never had any reason to think about leaving and actually come quick to their defense.

I hope this helps ease your mind some.

Tom

i would agree about usaa being a great company. always the nicest people and quick service. i have had them since i started driving 8 years ago. filed a few claims and have gotten a few minor speeding tickets here and there and nothing about increased premiums or anything. top notch company. as for your S i feel bad. i just get a small scratch or ding and i freak out. hope everything goes well.

Thanks for the reassurances everyone. I spoke with the adjuster from USAA earlier this week and they accepted full liability. Nice to see I was worrying for nothing.

I have some connections at a body shop here that is a USAA affiliated repair shop. They are getting me in Monday and I should have my car back in a week and a half as good as ever. They are one of the best in town.

As I mentioned in my regional forum, now I have to just tolerate the rental car I get on monday for that long.

Sorry to hear your car has been hit.
Glad no one was hurt.
Your insurance company should not even be involded. Her company should be taking care of everything.
