Default car got keyed yesterday!

Man I noticed this morning that some asshole keyed my car the day before. I went to work, went to school, and parked next to some guy in a riced civic. Thinking might be him. Then left it parked in my friend's gated community. This ass purposely did it too, deep gash and spans my whole door pretty much. What do you guys think? Call it into my insurance co or try Meguiar's scratch-x remover? I didnt even notice until I went to the passenger side today. I'm usually the only person in my car so dont see that side too often.

Scratch remover is not going to do anything for a deep gash.

Id go insurance route as long as your deductible is not too high.

Sucks man.. sorry about your misfortune.

to Jealous ass people.

My S got keyed about 6 months ago. A deep gash from the front of the driver's door to the end of the back fender.

I tried AeroColours. They buffed it out with a scratch remover. The scratch went through the paint into the metal, so they also did a touch up of paint. It looks Ok, unless you know it is there you wouldn't know it was scratched. The kid who did the work said if I couldn't stand the faint smudge, he knew a reputable paint shop that would charge $400.

So he only charged me $20 dollars since he had fun trying to fix the scratch, he loved my car and his shop was slow.

Good luck with your repairs. Whatever you do, do it soon. Don't let that jerk get you down.

damn. thanks for the info. i been away at a boring convention. i have a $50 deductible so I might get the insurance to cover it, maybe they'll give me a new paint job (doubt it). They started from my fender and went thru the whole door and into the back. Looks like they just walked by and keyed it as they walked pass the whole car. Well, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. People are just fuqed up that way. Wouldnt mind if I screwed their gf or something but this is just cold.

Unbelievable. It is so senseless. Who knows the mind of those who perpetrate such thing. I hope your car gets fixed.

I had my car keyed. I filed a police report and everything. In the end, no one was caught, but I had probably six body panels repainted for $100 (plus all previous swirls were removed). It always looked so shiny when I got I from the body shop.

That was Silverstone...I don't know about Berlina.

Good luck to you.
