hey guys...i need help on my s2k..when i put in tha key in tha ignition..i could turn it too 1st nd 2nd position but i cant turn it too tha 3rd position. Does anyone know why i cant turn it too 3rd position?

 

wtH. You mean to start the car? Try the red button on the right of your steering wheel....

 

uh... turn the key to the 2nd position and then try pressing the red button. Alternatively you can refer to the first few pages of your owners manual....

 

theres 3 positions, off, battery, battery+ac. you push the putton when its in 3rd position. sorry i cant help, but im just clarifying for you so people stop being sarcastic

 

try turning the steering wheel while doing this .

 

i had the same problem when i worked at honda when the S first came in. me and a couple of the lot guys didnt know about the engine start button and didnt realize it sitting there cause it was dark out.

 

thats not the problem..tha 02 s2k has 0 1 2 3 position..nd i coudl only turn to 1st nd 2nd position but i cant turn it too 3rd position. i need too turn it to position 3 too start the car but it wont turn too 3rd position..do u think my ignition is messed up?

 

There is a lock out feature if the steering wheel is turned without the key in the ignition. Try turning the steering wheel lightly in either direction while trying to get to the 3rd position with the key.

 

Not sure why there should be 3 positions unless you count just the key being in the ignition as one. Stick key in, one click turns on radio (among other things), two clicks turns on dash (among other things), push clutch in and push the magic button. Pretty sure thats how it works on ALL S2K's from the showroom.

 

there is only 0 1 2.. there is no 3.
