Default Fal fans with Koyo rad and Comptech SC

So you got your nice new shiny Koyo rad.

Wow that's thicker, whip out with the tape measure, stock fans are going to have clearance issues.

Need new fans now, was told Fal fans for the Integra would fit.

http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/acura-integra.html

Here is how I did it using only what came in the box and a couple of hours of time.

This is how they fit the Integra.

Now fitted to Koyo.

Power tool time.

A little plastic need to be trimmed from here.

Done.

Top fixing bracket for the Integra I used as a bottom fixing bracket, it needed a little trimming here.

Done.

Fixing brackets on Koyo rad.

Mark out holes.

and drill.

Other brackets that came with the kit.

I cut both of the L shape ones in half.

I wanted to get another fixing on the Koyo here.

So with the small piece of the L shaped bracket I just cut.

Mark it trim it and fit it.

Using the other halves of the now cut L shaped brackets for top mountings.

Test fit, mark it, trim it, fit it.

Completed.

Aftercooler clearance.

Godzilla Bov is just touching the shroud.

Air box needed to be trimmed here for the fan power plug.

All done and dusted.

This post took longer than fitting the fans.

I've been considering the koyo radiator too and had some doubts about clearance. So there's no way it would fit with the comptech sc and the stock fans?

Btw, great write up, thanks for sharing
