Looks like you can use the stock fans with the Vortech and Koyo.

But looking at the comptech kit, I'd say no way will stock fans fit unless you cut heck of a lot of the shroud away which could cause the fan blades to wobble when running?.
Still don't think they would fit.

I'm using the stock fans with the Comptech SC, godzilla bov, and Koyo radiator. I had to do some cutting of the fan shroud to get the intake to fit and the bov does rub against the fan shroud. Its a very tight fit, but it works.

I stand corrected, stock fans will fit.

Got any pictures OyATL?

mark_m,

Thanks for the idea! We were having problems clearing the full race turbo kit on a koyo w/ oem fans. Plus we didnt want to put universal FAL fans (didnt want to destroy the koyo). Im almost done working on it. Will post pictures on the weekend!

Good work. I wish I opted for the double fan... I have a feeling NYC is going to get really hot this year.

Here's the finished product. Fitment on the shroud is great. Bottom two koyo brackets were bolts and tapped
into the fal bracket. Bottom left bracket was welded on and bolted to koyo. I only had to cut out the metal bracket near
the lower coolant hose. The sensor seemed to clear for me. Overall, it came out great and clears the full race turbo kit pipes now.

Sorry to revive an old thread but how are you guys dealing with the electrical interface. On mine there is one wire lead controlling both fans. Should I just plug this into the fan switch controlled line and ignore the A/C feed? Also, should I run an adaptor and/or relay? Is this plug, plug and play for the fan switch controlled line or are mods needed to make that work?? Sorry for all the questions, hate electrics....
