Default B-Quiet Ultimate Install (edit)_

I began tackling the trunk today. First impressions:

B-Quiet was more thin than I expected it to be; however, it makes it quite maleable. The "stickiness" is enough where no heat gun is required and will stick firmly; however, it is not overly powerful where as soon as it hits a surface it is there for good. There is a little room for error as long as a large surface hasnt been applied and pressed.

The application process was easier than I had expected. I did not know exactly what I was getting myself into, but it started coming along pretty quickly. I first started out measuring and cutting every peice, but after about adding 8 peices, justg began estimating, and it works about as good.

The well area, and area surrounding the well is the easiet part and goes on quickly. The inside of the fenders and around the electrical parts is definetly a little more tedious, but not much more difficult. Just more thinking involved in how to make the cuts.

So far, I have put on about 1 and 3/4 coats, I only have to apply the second coat to the well and area just inside the trunk, facing me and it will be complete.

I recommend atleast 2 coats with this B-Quiet Ultimate, but 2 seems like it will be enough. I bought 100 sq ft., and so far, have used about 30-35ft. Paid $240 on ebay.

Pics to come soon. Do not have access to a digital camera right now, but will try and get one in the next few days.

Here are pics of the trunk:
Working around the electrical stuff was definitely the hardest part.

More pics below.

yes. its another sound deadener.

Tomorrow, or wednesday, I will be doing the doors and cabin...as much as I can do. And I can tell you the difference that it made to the speakers I have currently- Boston Rm6. But I will be getting Kappa perfects or something similar soon.

I have completed the trunk, except for the spare tire area. So far I have used 50 sq feet. I will have pics tomorrow.

finished the driver side today, and got all the carpets in. The only thing not complete is the doors.

Getting in:
Start the car up...as soon as the idle begins...95% silence. The car is dramatically more quiet.

Taking it for a spin:
sound is lessened all over; however, ground noise still occurs. Searching for where the noise is coming from, it is almost certainly coming through the unmatted doors. Just took it around the block, so I didnt get up to any major speeds, probably 45 mph tops, but there is a noticeable difference.

General:
The car feels...heavier. Heavy; however, may be a strong word. Total weight added= about 27 lbs so far. So its strange the car feels heavier...I guess more solid is a better description.

Total time put in so far:
4 hours trunk
5 hours passenger side
3 hours driver side.

Im assuming about 1 hour for each door is required. Im starting to become a pro taking my interior apart.
