A new club racer-inspired version of the Honda S2000 will take the legendary vehicle's track-worthy performance to an entirely new level when it makes its world debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 4, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today. Engineered around the expectations and needs of Honda performance enthusiasts, the S2000 CR will be available as a new trim level when the aggressively-tuned vehicle goes on sale in the fall of 2007.

Wonder if we'll get it too?

Basically, yes!

Throw a few bits away & borrow a few tuner items, I'd imagine.

Just like a CSL RSR GT3 RS GT2 thingy.

Without the mental price hike, hopefully.

Given that Europe had a white one (with graffiti), USA is getting a "Club Racer", wonder what UK will get as a farewell model?

Good marketing tactic really, as leaves a final legacy that the car is not a boulevard cruiser, but an enthusiasts car (written by someone who is unashamedly biased towards the vehicle ).

A fully specced chav mobile with flourescent light underneath, 19 inch bling wheels, one of those dustbin exhausts and the world's largest sub woofer, all topped off with a burberry roof.

I'm wondering if I can convince one of the Honda Garages to invite some folks from the S2k club to the launch!

I immediately thought of the CTR prototype of a couple of seasons back!
